A warm bath can help you relax, and ease tension and stress. There are several ways you can make it more relaxing. Using candles or keeping the lighting low and listening to soothing music will add to the calming mood.
Several different herbs can be added to your bath water. Tie them in a square of muslin and put into the tub while you are running your bath water. As you soak in the bathtub you can enjoy a little relaxing aromatherapy. Lavender, chamomile, passion flower, mint and lime flower are some you may want to try.
If you prefer you can use essential oils instead of herbs. Add 4 or 5 drops of your favorite oil to your bath water and relax and enjoy. Some oils you may enjoy are rose, vetiver, neroli, ylang-ylang and of course chamomile and lavender.
You might like to mix up this homemade milk bath recipe. Combine 1/2 cup liquid honey with 3 cups of powdered milk and a 1/4 cup of lavender buds, mix well. Store this mix in a tightly sealed jar. To use scoop out a portion and add to your bath while you are filling the bathtub.
